Andrew Briefer, Managing Director of Via Elegante, has been affiliated with the ownership of Via Elegante since its inception in 2004. Andy has operational and executive responsibilities for Indevco Assisted Living Communities, LLC, one of the Indevco Companies headquartered in Tucson, Arizona. As a native of Tucson, graduate of the University of Arizona, successful real estate appraiser and developer, and an active participant in Tucson’s philanthropic community, Via Elegante is the expression of Andy’s passion for Tucson and the senior residents of the community. Daniel Karsch, MD, Medical Director of Via Elegante, is responsible for creating, planning, organizing and directing the implementation of the policies of Via Elegante’s medical care. He oversees Via Elegante’s Medication Technicians (Certified Caregivers that administer prescribed medications) and the nursing staff that prepares Resident Assessments and Care Plans. His administrative duties also include visiting and communicating with each of our caregivers, residents and their families to ensure that Via Elegante delivers the care that is prescribed by each of the resident’s individual physicians. Dr. Karsch is a long-time Tucson resident, prominent physician, and community activist. A Philadelphia native and Jefferson Medical College graduate, Dr. Karsch completed his urology residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center and then served as Chief of Urology in the U.S. Air Force at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. He subsequently co-founded Old Pueblo Urology where he practiced for many years. Lindsay Lines, Executive Director of Via Elegante, focuses on the day-to-day health and wellness of our residents. By working closely with caregivers, residents, and residents' families, Lindsay has the opportunity to ensure happy, fulfilling days for our residents. Originally from the Phoenix valley, Lindsay joined Via Elegante in August 2008 and brings to the position many years of professional, community and academic leadership experience. She became inspired to dedicate her life to caring for the heart and spirit of seniors after caring for her mother. Meredith Kuhn, PhD, Assistant Executive Director of Via Elegante, brings a world of experience in both development and marketing with over ten years of experience in Tucson's retirement and assisted living industry. In 2008 she received her doctorate in Anthropology from the University of Arizona, with research interests in aging, physical environments, and the retirement/assisted living industry. At Via Elegante, Meredith enjoys the opportunity to combine her research interests with a community that is on the leading edge of luxury assisted living. |
