Ramsey Canyon

Ramsey Canyon, renown for its abundance of plant and animal life, has long been a treasure of the Southern Arizona community. Its lush trees, cool waterfalls, and enchanting humming birds provide inspiration for our Ramsey Canyon Home, where residents enjoy the beauty of bright, sun-lit rooms and pleasant friendships.

The Comfort Springs Trail winds its way through the Huachuca’s serene meadows of wildflowers with delightful views of majestic mountain peaks and thriving canyons. Our Comfort Springs Home offers the serenity of gentle care and safety in support of our residents’ journeys through their most tender years.

We offer three room choices, our Deluxe, Premiere and Signature suites, with pricing based on the varying size, features and amenities. All of our suites are available fully furnished or unfurnished and are large enough to accommodate personal furniture and decorations. Call or email us for information about current rates.

Marcy Werne, RN, with Sierra Vista Assisted Living Team at Via Elegante

Marcelina (Marcy) Werne, RN, brings over twenty-five years of nursing experience to the community of Via Elegante. Marcy is the daughter of parents who owned and operated a nursing home while she was growing up in Tucson, and geriatric care is at the heart of what she does, and who she is. Marcy has a broad background which includes Staff Development, Allied Health Care Education, Business Ownership and Operation, as well as hands-on nursing care in the hospital, nursing home, home health care, and hospice arenas. Marcy is personable, professional, and believes that each resident and family member serves as valuable components of the health care team. Outside of work, Marcy enjoys spending time with her parents, siblings, husband, children and grandchildren as often as possible.

Anne Walker, BSN, RN, Executive Community Director, with Sierra Vista Assisted Living Team at Via Elegante

Anne Walker, BSN, RN, Executive/Community Director, focuses on the day-to-day wellness of our residents. By working in collaboration with caregivers, residents, and residents’ families, Anne has the opportunity to ensure that residents feel at home and have happy, fulfilling days. Anne recently relocated to Bisbee from Tucson. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Nursing and has been a practicing Registered Nurse for nearly 30 years. She brings to the Via Elegante team extensive experience in Public Health, management, program development, and case management. She also has worked as an Instructor with Caregiver Training Institute for over eight years and understands how important well-trained Caregivers are in providing excellent care for our residents. Anne enjoys hiking, playing pool, and cheering for the U of A Wildcats.

Ira Branson, Wellness Director, with Sierra Vista Assisted Living Team at Via Elegante

Ira Branson, Wellness Director, provides support for clinical operations including overseeing medication management and administration. Ira communicates regularly with physicians, pharmacies, families, and caregivers to ensure that our residents are receiving the clinical support services they require. She feels that all of our residents are her family and believes we still have something to learn from them. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son, watching movies, and reading.

Jeremy Montoya, Executive Chef, with Sierra Vista Assisted Living Team at Via Elegante

Jeremy Montoya, Executive Chef, brings with him over 15 years of cooking experience. Jeremy attended Le Cordon Bleu Scottsdale Culinary Institute. He takes great pride in the meals he and his team provide for the residents and believes the use of fresh ingredients is a priority in cooking. Jeremy was born and raised in the Navajo Nation. He enjoys hiking, golf, movies, and visiting family on the Navajo reservation.

Andy Briefer, Managing Partner, with Sierra Vista Assisted Living Team at Via Elegante

Andrew Briefer, Managing Partner, is certified as an Assisted Living Manager by the state of Arizona. He has served on the board of the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) and the board of the Caregiver Training Institute. As a native of Tucson, graduate of the University of Arizona, real estate appraiser and developer, Andy’s operational involvement with Via Elegante is the expression of his passion for enhancing the lives of the seniors and health care workers which are the heart and soul of our communities.
