Activities

Via Elegante offers opportunities for our residents to engage, enjoy, express, learn and grow each day.  Our full-time Life Enhancement Director coordinates meaningful activities such as chair yoga, theme days, exercise classes, and games of all kinds to enhance memory and motor skills.

Activities are always tailored to individual preferences of the residents in their homes and are conducted in conjunction with our entire care team.  While participation is always optional, our homes come alive with the sound of laughter, conversation and joy, creating a real sense of community.

Via Elegante, Sierra Vista Highlands has a grand clubhouse and courtyard joining both homes where larger group activities and performances happen.

Sierra Vista Highlands Director

Amy Shuman is a registered nurse with nearly 10 years of experience across oncology, pediatrics, hospice, and geriatrics. Amy is dedicated to compassionate leadership and meaningful connections with patients, families, and teams, while currently pursuing an MSN to become a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner and advocating for holistic, patient-centered care.
