Activities

Via Elegante offers opportunities for our residents to engage, enjoy, express, learn and grow each day.  Our full-time Life Enhancement Director coordinates meaningful activities such as chair yoga, theme days, exercise classes, and games of all kinds to enhance memory and motor skills. 

Activities and performances are always tailored to individual preferences of the residents in their homes and are conducted in conjunction with our entire care team.   While participation is always optional, our homes come alive with the sound of laughter and joy in our common areas creating a real sense of home and community.

Culinary and Dining Services

At Via Elegante we know that great food can make for a great day.  We have exciting menus featuring quality seasonal ingredients for lunch and dinner prepared daily by our Executive Chef.  Breakfast is always made to order and available any time of day.

Unlike other home communities, we do not burden our caregivers with the job of cooking three meals a day.  Instead, we believe this is best left to the experts. Residents are able to enjoy these wonderfully prepared and nutritious meals in the dining room or patio of their home, or in their private suite at no additional charge.

While meals are served at scheduled times, residents can dine when they choose. A prepared menu with alternatives is available every day, nutritious snacks are always on hand, and special diets are always accommodated.

Tucson Foothills Director

Shenandoah began her career in senior living as a Night Shift Caregiver at the age of nineteen and quickly discovered a passion for serving older adults. From that moment, she knew supporting seniors and their families would be her life’s work.

After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2020, Shenandoah pursued a career in hospice care, serving as a Care Navigator and Family Education Specialist. In these roles, she helped develop memory care programs, facilitated family support groups, and provided training and support to care teams across communities in Tucson and Phoenix. In 2025, she founded her own consulting business focused on family and staff education and became a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

Today, Shenandoah serves as Executive Director of Via Elegante Tucson Foothills, where she is committed to bringing education, clarity, and meaningful connections to residents, families, and team members. She especially enjoys building relationships with families and working alongside caregivers to ensure the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.
